Three Thai Merchandisers Passed ACCP Certification
Three of seven merchandisers from five garment factories passed an ASEAN Common Competency Program (ACCP) examination held in Bangkok on October 5th for level 2 merchandisers. The event, organized by AFTEX Thailand, was the second ACCP examination in the country.

Thai Merchandiser ACCP Assessment
The test reveals that there is room for improvement for Thai merchandisers who took the test wholly in English as those candidates who failed did not do well on essay section, which indicates that they need to improve English skills.
In the next year, AFTEX Thailand plans to hold at least two rounds of ACCP assessment and certification, each round to involve some or all of the original five competencies in the program; specifically sewing machine operator, sewing machine supervisor, sewing machine mechanic, pattern maker, and merchandiser.
