AFTEX Launches New Website for ASEAN Textiles & Apparel

SourceASEAN.com now focuses on serving the information and resource needs of textile and apparel industry stakeholders throughout the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region and their global customers.

The new SourceASEAN.com home page soon after launch in November 2010

The ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX) and its sponsor, the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID’s) VALUE Project, decided to drop the business-to-business portal product offered on the old website.

The imminent entry of a private-sector portal operator with the resources, technology, and expertise to deliver a more attractive product was the primary reason for the decision.

The new-look SourceASEAN.com better fits the internet communications needs of AFTEX and its core programs, the Source ASEAN Full Service Alliance (SAFSA) and the ASEAN Common Competencies Program (ACCP).

SourceASEAN.com also aggregates industry-related news and resources from throughout ASEAN and its member states: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

OPEN Advertising, a Thai website development and design agency, developed the new website.
