BIFF to Boost ASEAN’s Cross-Border Alliances

Promoting cross-border alliances (VVFs) will be the focus of this year’s Bangkok International Fashion Fair (BIFF) that will take place April 20-24 with the theme of “ASEAN Integration.”

According to Pilan Dhammongkol, President of The National Federation of Thai Textile Industries (AFTEX Thailand), the Thai Department of Export Promotion (DEP) considers SAFSA an excellent model for further developing Thailand’s textile and apparel industry.

DEP and AFTEX Thailand are also actively promoting the SAFSA VVF concept to Thailand’s small- and medium-sized textile and apparel companies. For companies too small to join SAFSA, DEP plans to support Tiger Trade, a business-to-business marketing portal, for matchmaking opportunities.
